For schools
Our story
Talent is everywhere in a high school hallway, but most of it points inward
One student sketches in the margins of a notebook, another debugs code in their head, and a third hums a harmony on the way to class. They pass each other every day without talking, because nothing gives them a reason to.
Conexus gives them one: a student-run exchange where what you’re good at helps the person next to you. We’re high school students from The Bishop’s School, Del Norte and other San Diego schools.
Busy isn’t the same as connected
Each dot is one student we surveyed at Bishop’s and Francis Parker.
Conexus student survey, 2025 to 2026. About 200 responses.
“For years my excellence felt isolating. I chased podiums until I nearly burned out. Talent without purpose is a dead end.”
“I didn’t improve until I practiced with my brother. He wasn’t a pro, but the lack of pressure changed everything.”
“What if our interests were bridges?”

Our mission
We believe talent should create community impact, not just personal achievement
A world where
- no talent goes unused.
- learning is accessible.
- students grow together.
- connection matters more than competition.
What could happen if every student’s talents became someone else’s opportunity? We’re building that future.
How we got here
Fall 2025
Research
Conversations with learning specialists and counselors at Bishop’s pointed to passion, not perfection, as what keeps students engaged.
Winter 2025
Survey
About 200 students at Bishop’s and Francis Parker answered questions about skills, time and loneliness.
Spring 2026
First pilot
An Airtable prototype tracked exchanges and moved credits for the first group of students.
Fall 2026
The platform
Profiles, a request board, messaging and verified in-person hours, built for an invite-only school pilot.
